Every July we present the Sandtoft Gathering!

What is it?
The Sandtoft Gathering is the biggest event in our calendar!
In addition to our usual attractions there will be:
- Visiting cars, lorries, buses
- Motorbus tours of the local area at regular intervals throughout the day
- More trolleybuses in service – we run at least 8, rotating them in batches every few hours
- Real ale beer tent provided by the Doncaster Brewery & Tap (https://doncasterbrewery.co.uk/), which is CAMRA listed and LocAle accredited.
When is it?
The Sandtoft Gathering is always held on the last Sunday in July. In 2026 it’s on 26th July and the Museum is open from 10am to 5.30pm.
Pre-booking for admission tickets will open on at the beginning of June.
How do I get there?
If you’re coming by road we’ll have extra parking available. For visitors coming by public transport we run additional free bus services from and to Doncaster:

I have an historic vehicle – can I bring it?
Yes – vintage road vehicles are welcome – and even some newer ones often take part, at our discretion. Although there’s no entry charge (and the driver plus two passengers get free admission) we do need you to enter your vehicle – please complete the entry form below (you can enter up to 3 vehicles on each on-line form).
Alternatively you can download an entry form here and post it to us.

Can I bring my sales stand?
One of the highlights of the Gathering is the transport flea market, housed in our main depot building. You will need to book a pitch for your stand – details and prices are on the Stall Booking Page.
