Open Days

Our Museum is staffed entirely by volunteers so at the moment we can usually only open on a selection of weekends between April and November. Normally these include Bank Holiday weekends.

In the calendar below, the dates we are open are shown with a coloured background. Admission for events with a brown background is charged at our standard rate; ones with a red background are TrolleydayPlus events.

A pdf of 2023 open days can be downloaded here. Please keep checking this website for updates. Please note, the times of our Saturday bus connections to Thorne are changing for the 2023 season. To see the new times, please follow the links in the event details.

We can open for private visits on other dates if arranged in advance – there is a minimum charge for this. If you’d like to know more, check this page.
