VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT DAY

11:00 am - 3:30 pm

5 hours

Special Event

Trolleybus Museum
Belton Road
Sandtoft
nr Doncaster, North Lincolnshire DN8 5SX
01729 711846

The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft has been expanding rapidly - more facilities, many more open days and, later this year, a narrow-gauge railway and a Blackpool play tram will join our attractions. We need to increase considerably the number of volunteers to work behind the scenes and on days the Museum is open.

We're holding an open day to recruit volunteers to enable this unique heritage museum to grow. There’s no need to be knowledgeable about trolleybuses or be a transport enthusiast – we're looking for friendly individuals who like meeting people and enjoy working in a team.

Some roles are needed on days when the Museum is open to the public, others like site maintenance, vehicle restoration, gardening etc take place when the Museum is closed. These latter roles are particularly suitable for local people, possibly retired, who have flexible availability.

Admission to the event is free and tea/coffee are provided. Throughout the day there'll be presentations about the Museum and the essential contribution of the volunteer team. Visitors will go on guided tours of the Museum’s facilities and attractions. Also they will visit attractions coming on-line soon - the Sandtoft District Railway and the Blackpool Play Tram. The Museum will be offering trolleybus rides around the site and there will be opportunities throughout ask the team any questions.

If you're interested in helping us but can't make the Friday event please let us know using the Contact Form.
