Why become a Member of the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft?
We hope you like our Museum, what it does and what it stands for. We are continually striving to make improvements to the attractions we offer our visitors and to the infrastructure of the Museum. Once restored to their original glory, our trolleybuses need day-to-day maintenance. We also have an archive of material relating to these vehicles and the social history of their golden era.
You don’t have to be a volunteer to help the Museum – although we would love it if you did! Another way to support our endeavours is by becoming a member of the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft for a moderate cost (you would actually become a member of the Museum Company, Sandtoft Transport Centre Limited). It’s a simple process and additional adults living at the same address (“Family Members”) are entitled to join at a reduced price as can under-18s, who we enrol as supporters (“Sandtoft Juniors”). Full details of membership subscription rates are shown below.
Once a member, you are entitled to:
- Free admission to the Museum on open days
- A copy of our in-house magazine Sandtoft Scene, published three times a year (please note family members receive one copy only of the magazine sent to their registered address)
- Attend and vote at the AGM and any other general meetings of the Company.
“Sandtoft Juniors” are entitled to:
- Free admission to the Museum on open days
- Their own copy of our in-house magazine Sandtoft Scene
For legal reasons, under-18s are not entitled to vote at Company general meetings.
How to join or renew membership
At the Museum: Simply pick up a form from Reception. If applying this way, you can pay with contactless cards or cash, and you’ll get your membership card straight away. We’re also happy to upgrade your admission ticket to membership.
On this page: Use our on-line form and pay by bank transfer or with a credit or debit card. Your membership card will then be sent to you with the next issue of Sandtoft Scene, unless you’ve included a donation to cover postage.
By post: Download a pdf version of the application form here (members can also download a renewal form here). Then, just return it to the address shown with the appropriate subscription (and a donation if you’re feeling generous!). You can pay by bank transfer or cheque, made payable to Sandtoft Transport Centre Ltd. A membership card will then be issued to you with the next issue of Sandtoft Scene, unless you’ve included a donation or a SAE.
