Open Day

Open from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm; last admission 3.30 pm.

What's happening: This weekend we mark the end of the Charles H Roe coachbuilding company in 1984. Roe was a long-established firm with an enviable reputation for building quality bodywork for buses, coaches and trolleybuses. It eventually became part of British Leyland which closed its Leeds works in 1983, but it rose again under its management control as Optare, which still trades today. On Saturday there will also be a display of classic cars by the East Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club. Plus we'll have all our usual attractions as well!

Getting to the Museum: (Saturday only) we are running free buses to and from Thorne to connect with First South Yorkshire service 387; further details can be found herejustgo North Lincs is an on-demand service providing links from Crowle and Scunthorpe. Trips have to be booked in advance; more details here.

Admission prices: Admission on this day is charged at our Standard Rate - for full details see our Admission Prices page.
