Become a Member of the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft

We hope you like our Museum, what it does and provides and what it stands for. We are continually striving to make improvements to what we offer to visitors, to our trolleybuses in terms of renovation and restoration work and day-to-day maintenance, to conserve the overall collection and archives, and to the infrastructure of the Museum.

One way to support our endeavours is by becoming a member of the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft. You would actually become a member of the Museum Company, Sandtoft Transport Centre Limited. It is a simple process and costs £19.00 a year (additional adults living at the same address can join for just £12.00 per year and are termed "Family Members"). To be a member of any company in the UK, you need to be 18 years or older, so for £12.00 each per year we enrol under-18s as “Sandtoft Juniors” to be supporters of the Museum. Full details of membership subscription rates are shown below.

Once a member, you are entitled to:

  • Free admission to the Museum on open days
  • A copy of our in-house magazine Sandtoft Scene, published three times a year (please note family members receive one copy only of the magazine sent to their registered address)
  • Attend and vote at the AGM and any other general meetings of the Company

“Sandtoft Juniors” are entitled to:

  • Free admission to the Museum on open days
  • Their own copy of our in-house magazine Sandtoft Scene

For legal reasons, under-18s are not entitled to vote at Company general meetings.

How to join

Simply pick up a membership application form when at the Museum (alternatively, download a PDF version here and print it), complete the sections of the form as necessary and return it to us with the appropriate subscription (and a donation if you are feeling generous!). If at the Museum, payment can be cash, or credit/ debit card, but otherwise you will need to post the completed form and a cheque, payable to “The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft”, to the address shown on the form.

A membership card and the latest edition of Sandtoft Scene will then be issued to you.
