The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft has three supporting societies. Members of these societies receive discounted annual membership of The Trolleybus Museum. They are:

Bradford Trolleybus Association

The Bradford Trolleybus Association's aims are to co-ordinate the preservation of the various surviving Bradford trolleybuses and, eventually, to restore its own trolleybuses to operational condition. Their current project is Bradford 758, the last open rear platform trolleybus to operate on British streets: no.758 is normally a resident at the Trolleybus Museum, but is away whilst this restoration is being carried out. Visit the Bradford Trolleybus Association website at www.bradfordtrolleybusassociation.co.uk .

British Trolleybus Society

Founded in 1961 as the Reading Transport Society (and in 1969, a founding group at the Trolleybus Museum), the British Trolleybus Society has a large and important collection of historic trolleybuses, most of which are kept at the Trolleybus Museum. The British Trolleybus Society is one the UK's largest trolleybus groups and in June 2017 purchased a property adjacent to the Trolleybus Musem with the intention of jointly developing it with the Museum. Visit the British Trolleybus Society website at www.britishtrolley.org.uk .

Doncaster Omnibus & Light Railway Society

One of the original founding groups at the Trolleybus Museum, and the most local, the Doncaster Omnibus & Light Railway Society has a keen interest in the local transport history, owning 5 former Doncaster Corporation motor buses and Doncaster's last trolleybus. Most of these vehicles are kept at the Trolleybus Museum. Find out more at www.dolrs.org.uk .
