Sister Vehicles 845, 846 and 847
The last three trolleybuses delivered to the Mexborough & Swinton company had Brush single-deck bodies. After the system closed in 1961 these three together with another four similar vehicles were sold to Bradford Corporation, which had them fitted with modern double-deck forward-entrance bodies by East Lancs in 1962 and 1963. 845 and 846 ran on the last day in Bradord and 847 had been withdrawn the previous month.
845 was the first trolleybus to operate from overhead wires at Sandtoft.
846 is not normally on view at the Museum.
